Located on the north side of Sydney in Milsons Point and poised on Sydney Harbour’s waterfront it boasts some of the best views and entry to the park is free although the rides and games require purchased tickets.

Some quick facts about Luna Park on the Sydney Harbour

Opened in 1935, the Park features art deco style architecture of the same era and is listed on the NSW heritage register.

It occupies an important and prominent location making it one of Sydney’s most recognisable icons.

Several movies and television shows have used Luna Park as a backdrop for filming. These include: 

  • Leslie Norman’s film adaptation of Summer of the Seventeenth Doll in 1959. 
  • Our lips are sealed, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and scenes from Bollywood.
  • The most familiar to Australians whilst growing up was the show Skippy the Bush Kangaroo Skippy.
